Sing it sister, I’m sooooo tired of sitting through all the gambling content to watch a ballgame.
Maybe 5% of bettors beat the house over any reasonable span of time, and perhaps one out of the five percent make some kind of living at it. 99% of you on your phone apps? SUCKERS.
But I suppose if you do it lightly, just for ‘entertainment’… it’s your dough to lose, no harm, no foul, you be you.
Caitlyn Clark. Other than her, can you name five more WNBA players and who they play for without looking? And that one who was in jail in Russia does not count. I wish her all of the luck in the world, but the shine is going to disappear on her and I believe she will be playing in obscurity in a few months.
Caitlyn Clark was in the WNBA 37 days after her last college game. No training camp like new players get in the NBA or NFL to adjust to her new team or teammates. And as I recall players Jordan, Elway, Favre, et al among others took several years to really make their marks. Not to mention having better teammates and better coaching (her team is pretty bad, it’s why they were able to get her in the first place). She’s rapidly improving. I love how so many boyz get so butthurt about the attention she and the WNBA are getting. If you don’t like it, don’t watch, and leave the rest of us in peace.
She had to play a whole NCAA season, with B1G tournament and NCAA playoff run, AND then just a month later launch a professional career. Because of that season scheduling anomaly, the NCAA to professional transition for most of these women would be hard compared to other sports, which have a long layoff between end of college and first pro game.
She hasn’t had much time to gel with the team. Anyone expecting that the team would be dominating just because she was on it has no clue how teams work. They were one of the worst teams in the league in 2023, so she’s not even joining with top league players – she’s joining with some of the league’s worst players, and many have a chip on their shoulder because some talented white girl is getting all the press.
I don’t really care about the WNBA (or any professional sports league these days, to be honest), but the pundits and many of the veteran players are simply bitter bigots that want to see her fail, and who are jealous of the endorsement money she’s getting while no one even knows who they are (players or pundits).

Nothing like a sports debate to brighten your day.

Leave the women alone. I watched the Celtics in several Finals in the 80s, and I’m gonna do it again!

Betting is a sign of boredom. If people have to “make it interesting” then they are clearly unimpressed.

Clark’s already realizing she signed with a bad team
