A person has the opportunity to learn interesting things when reading the comics.
I was aware of the origin of the term “Soylent”, the portmanteau of “soy” and “lentil”, from a 1960s Science Fiction story ( Make Room, Make Room ) and the later movie ( Soylent Green ) based upon that book. I was NOT aware that a US company seized upon the concept and now produces a “Soylent” product (by registered trade name) – vegetative-based material that is vended internationally as being a meat-based product replacement. I discovered this when I looked for a definition of “soylent”.
