Those Ancestry people recently notified me of some updates on my DNA. Somehow they know I am more likely to enjoy naps and not very likely to enjoy dancing. I want to know how evolution has impressed those traits on my genes!
After getting the DNA test, I didn’t buy any other “Ancestry” products, but they still send me teasers from time to time. They sent me one which they appeared to be claiming was a photo of my great grandfather at work in 1913. But when you read more carefully, it was apparently just a generic photo of people working in that year. They had a similar one of one of my great grandmothers.
I know that the great grandparents in question had a mom and pop grocery store, but I don’t think they invented anything.
Those DNA tests can produce some interesting results. My wife did it a few years ago and she discovered a nephew that no one knew existed. I did it and then helped two cousins connect with children who had been given up for adoption because of the parents were teenagers at the time. Some real surprises, I can tell you.
I will be glad to see the backside of this linoleum saga. Maybe linoleum will make a comeback to replace plastic/vinyl since it is made with natural materials.

Lima, Ohio used to bill itself as America’s speed trap. I wonder if they still celebrate it?

Just find someone you relate to in whatever way you want and identify as that.

My grandfather and my brother were both worshipful masters of their masonic lodges. My brother, at the same lodge as Harry Truman.
