I knew a girl from Argentina — blonde haired, blue eyed, and as German a surname as you could ask for. She said her family had been there for more than a hundred years, but also acknowledged that there were a lot of ex-Nazis there. Not unlike all the ex-Confederates who settled in Brazil after the Civil War.
