The plot is simple and is often used in crime dramas. A wealthy and-or powerful man cheats on his wife with a sex worker only to become worried later that it will come out. So, he engages in a cover up. It’s believable because it happens in real life all the time. Moreover, the lead character is very believable because it is reasonable that a man who makes a point of never being repentant, and who cheated on his second wife with a porn model will cheat on his third wife with a porn actress. Covering up for Trump usually requires an almost theatrical suspension of disbelief, but this strains credulity.
