I can say I was born before TV.
I remember going to a school assembly in 3rd grade, 1959, where they demonstrated stereo recordings ( train, bullet…).
There wasn’t any “Radio” when I was a boy, but we did have “the Wireless” so things weren’t all that bad. Good enough to hear Neville Chamberlain say, “and accordingly I have to tell you that this Country is now at war with Germany” – 3 Sep 1939.
