Always a source of confusion it seems. Is moving the setting up increasing the temperature set point or the output?

It comes from a lack of understanding of the basic physical concept of heat and cold. Increasing heat needs an increase of energy output. Increasing cold needs an increase in energy transfer from one location to another. People are still confused about cold not being able to be radiated like heat.

I look at it as turning it down to make it cooler because the numbers are going down on the thermostat. However, others say turn it up to mean get it going.

Put it on 60 at night and 80 during the day. If your dwelling is well insulated you will use less energy in the long run.

At the bottom of Dante’s Inferno is a lake of ice … yes, hell has already frozen over. So Lola could have said she was turning the A/C down to a lower circle of hell.

I’d like to find out who is turning the thermostat up to 30 deg celcius in our lobby. Someone who has dementia or dyslexia. I emailed the manager . sigh

Think Ray makes his mother wear a sweater indoors during winter?
