I have a couple firearms for hunting, and I’m in favor of universal background checks, and the closing of loopholes. And, as a matter of objective reality, if Hunter had had a different last name, the case would never have arisen, let alone been newsworthy. (If Traitor Trump had had a different last name, he might well be in prison but he never would’ve been president.)
I was a “dinger” in the Marine Corps (an expert pistol shooter on the range), qualified expert rifleman 4 years. Got to shoot 2 seasons on the 1st Marine Division rifle and pistol team. Love the smell of burnt powder in the morning.Taught my 10 grandchildren (8 grand daughters, 2 grand sons) firearm safety and how to shoot, sight alignment and trigger squeeze with pistol and rifle. But first comes responsibility and citizenship. All my kids are adults now with families of their own, and I’m proud of their attitudes and how they life their lives. I think responsible gun ownership is a good thing.

When Trump was elected the range changed completely. Bunch of red hat yahoos acting like idiots and the range officer doing nothing about it. I sold everything, I didn’t want to be around those clowns, and certainly didn’t want to confused to be one of them. The .44 caliber revolver was bought by an older lady after she made sure it fit in her purse. Yikes, I didn’t want to be the one who yelled “Bingo” at her table.
So sad that the GQP thinks it’s OK for Hunter Biden to be convicted. The judicial system worked like it should.. But when their Orange Messiah is convicted they go totally ballistic. The trial was a sham. The judge was crooked. The prosecutor was just being political. The grand Jury was fixed. The jury were a bunch of liberal haters. Their most beloved lord and savior was convicted. Not on one count, not on two counts, not on three counts, but guilty on all 34 felony counts. Sorry GQP, the justice system worked again, as it should have.
Perhaps someone more familiar with firearms in the US can tell me: IF Hunter Biden had bought his pistol at a gun show, would he have had to fill out the form on which he lied about being a junkie?
