Those annoying pests ruin everything.

Mosquitoes are the only reason I see for ice fishing.

They didn’t catch any fish in the lake so they stopped and Long John Silver’s.

Mosquitoes are proof that God does not exist.

Any ticks?

Yellow biting flys would be worse.

You should have brought mosquito repellant.

A day of fishing with no catch is still a day of fishing, mosquitoes notwithstanding.

I am fully convinced that fish only bite two times a day. Just before I arrive and right after I leave.

And those two were the bait.

well, they had plenty of bites… just not the bites they wanted. :}

But it was a day of father-son togetherness, which is more important. And lasting. Still, they should have stopped by the West Side Market on the way home and picked up some walleye.

Those little buggers had a feast…….

The fish had more sense than get bitten by mosquitoes.

That’s very realistic

Useless bit of trivia regarding mosquitoes…only the females bite.

Which one of them can row a boat for fishing? I don’t see Brutus owning a huge boat.

In da U.P. of MI, we don’t have measly little mosquitos…nope, instead we have what we call “chicquitos,” meaning chicken-sized mosquitos. The hatchlings are the size of hummingbirds. Both hatchling and adult will bleed you dry. Seen many deer, cows, horses, even hoomans carried away by these beasts. The males are just as big, but the only thing they are after is beer, as depicted in a recent strip of Zits.

the horseflies and yellowflies more than make up for our lack of mosquitoes here in japan’s great white north, but thanks to hotter springs and summers lately we’ve been seeing mosquitoes, too, from time to time. i’m looking forward to that familiar whining buzz in the ear in the middle of the night, just like the old days in tokyo… ☺
