The males are just as big, but the only thing they are after is beer, as depicted in a recent strip of Zits.
the horseflies and yellowflies more than make up for our lack of mosquitoes here in japan’s great white north, but thanks to hotter springs and summers lately we’ve been seeing mosquitoes, too, from time to time. i’m looking forward to that familiar whining buzz in the ear in the middle of the night, just like the old days in tokyo… ☺
