Colin Blunstone was working in an insurance office when the Zombies’ ‘She’s Not There’ made it huge…he mentioned how his fellow workers were all enthusing about the song and he was sat there thinking, “Er…that’s me…”
My kid DJ’d in the 80 and his kit of 100 CD got scanned. Unfortunately each disk is Track 1, etc. But we also pdf.d the manual and now I have several music players that I can put SD cards in (I have Rolling Stones Top 500 in my phone) I’m converting the file names and seeing band names I never heard of.
I have a friend who was in a successful band (it paid the bills, anyway) when he was younger. He became a computer programmer because it paid the bills much better.

All very good responses today. I’d have one or two, myself, but am just out of a light anesthesia procedure, so brain is not yet fully awake.

About 15 years ago my brother and I did a self financed album. We may have sold 100 copies.
