Actually, I learned LONG ago that it’s NOT whether the “balm” works or not – it whether it can pass the “double-blind” test called for by the F.D.A. …

D.M.S.O. is a very effective treatment for sore joints. but it cannot be sold as such because it is immedicably detectable when applied to humans and so cannot be “tested” in any “scientific” manner, so, bottom line, you can use it to treat horses but not people!

Seems like Agnes might have been inspired by reading a history of patent medicines.

@ChuckLitl Having lived in Brown County Ohio, (like the girls do). I know some people who think that WD40, works like that.
