Almost. Snails travel at up to 0.013 m/s. The circumference of the Earth is 40,075,000 meters. It would take a snail 3,092,692,307.69 seconds to travel that distance. Eighty years is only 2,524,608,000 seconds. Therefor it would need an extra 6,575 days to travel completely around the Earth once. Or a total of slightly more than 98 years.
This reminds me of the giant snail from Dr. Doolittle. The Great Glass Sea Snail. They traveled across the ocean, under water, and it was pretty luxurious and comfortable inside. If you have the time, it’s a great way to travel and much more civilized than air travel.
