Summers are boring with nothing to do – at least they were for me. As I posted on another strip we would only go to the library once a week and I would finish the books I took out each week in about 2 days – maybe 3 and then have to go back to reading books, that chances are I had read already, from my personal library.
I hated the days we went to the beach as I am fair haired and skinned and burn extremely easily so had/have to try to stay out of the sun – not easy to do at the beach and/or coverup. I would generally bring a book along to read at the beach. All alone at the beach with my mom and much younger sister – not so much “yippee”.
