My daughter’s Doberman gets so scared that she crawls under the bed. There really isn’t enough room underneath there. She stays stuck until the thunderstorm or fireworks are over.

Not gonna happen here. 75% chance of rain and that usually means it’s going to rain.

Our dogs would cue off of us (Rottweilers and an English Mastiff) when the fireworks started. If we didn’t get excited, they didn’t either. I know my best friend’s dog gets a sedative because it is bothered so much by them.

This time of year is so stressful for people who abhor loud noises, animals who are fearful of the bangs and whatnot. My neighbors like to “practice” two to three days before … after 9 p.m.

My dog is terrified of fireworks. We have to give him Trazodone every year.Last year the Seattle Space Needle did a laser display with drones instead of fireworks. I really hope that catches on and the fireworks stuff becomes a relic of the past. I hate those things.

The wildlife in the park want to know if there’s room for them, Wally.

A thundershirt is easy to make and will comfort your pet during fireworks and other stressful times.

Poor Wally! I would be the one to stay home during the fireworks displays to keep the dogs company and to calm them down. I didn’t mind.

Fireworks are small explosions. And big ones. If you have PTSD or are an animal, it can be terrifying.
