A dog with a good owner is well adjusted. All cats are neurotic. OTOH it might suggest cats would study psychotherapy in order to learn to help themselves.
I have my own theory on Schrödinger’s cat. Instead of being dead or alive, it is on one side of a door or the other. No matter which side it is on, it is scratching to be on the other side.
I’m pretty sure Wiley initially wanted to show the shrink keeping notes on a laptop or tablet before settling on the classic notepad and pen. But you’ll notice he left the mouse sitting beside him on the table.

A neurotic is a man who builds a castle in the air. A psychotic is the man who lives in it. A psychiatrist is the man who collects the rent.

The cat will encourage him to think for himself and make his own decisions. A dog isn’t really equipped for that. He needs a pack.

Cats are psychopaths, dogs are calm. They’re in the wrong seats

Cats are great listeners as long as they’re not hungry and they don’t notice motion in their peripheral vision.
