La-la-la-la—I can’t hear you. The last thing we need is more Liberal Arts majors sneaking across the border and taking jobs away from decent, hard-working people.

Enough with the liberal arts majors, what we need are more liberal arts colonels, and liberal arts generals.

We in the USA need people to understand basic capitalist economics; on a macro AND a micro level. One full year of college level ECO 101. If voters learned and understood it, they would understand when politicians are just blowing smoke, or whether those politicians actually know and understand the issue.

Is that the author of the strip? Looks like it possibly is. Not the artist of course.

Laptops in 1982 were over $8000s. I doubt many liberal arts majors had them… hahahaha

University of Texas at Austin, 1982? Wasn’t that an Animal Husbandry school back then? I remember that they offered a minor in Rodeo Clowning, too.

hmm Funny y’all are complaining about Liberal Arts by writing – {English is a Liberal Art} – about a comic – {Art which is a liberal art}. Liberal Arts may not build worlds , but they make the world worth building. From literature, to drama, to books, movies, etc, Arts give meaning, Science gives method, and humans need both.

Liberal Arts majors? You’ve got to be joking. Most of these people coming across the border are uneducated and unskilled. Unfortunately, we already have enough of our own here with those deficiencies.

Um… In 1982 you’d probably be working for NASA if you had a laptop computer with an integrated screen. (Grid Compass 1101.)

    He isn’t saying it’s 1982, he’s just saying that’s when he graduated.

Ha, all those art and psychology majors. What a waste of time and money. I, on the other hand studied the sciences, and have a BS degree in Zoology! With my degree and $4 I can buy a cup of coffee!

Check out US News and World report – What You Can Do With a Liberal Arts Degree, June 2020. “Those people with a BA are more adaptable, career earnings end up being slightly higher than those in engineering or technical schools as well as those with a business or management focus. Liberal Arts schools are closer to what used to be called a classical education.” It’s a very good article about the benefits of Liberal Arts.

There are a lot of us who didn’t go to college, wouldn’t have done me any good, that have managed just fine without it. 69 house paid for, car, enough to keep me and don’t owe anyone anything. It can be done.

Has anyone else noticed that the amount, volume, and sheer intensity of the political diatribe from MAGA and Trump is increasing exponentially?

That’s Trump’s and the RNC’s Fascist propagandist campaign strategy: Ad Nauseam presentations of the Big Lie, Conspiracy Theories, Disinformation, False Accusations, Firehoses of Falsehood, Flag (or religion) Waving, Framing, Gaslighting, Gish Galloping, Glittering Generalities, Inevitable Victory, Information Overload, Intentional Vagueness, Loaded Language, Lies and Deceit, Minimization, Name-calling, Obfuscation, Oversimplification, Projective Identification, Quoting out of Context, Red Herrings, Scapegoating, Sloganing, Smears, Straw Men, Stochastic Terrorism, Thought-Terminating Cliches, Tu Quoque Fallacies, Virtue Transfer Words, Vilification (Ad Hominems), Whatboutism, and similar activities, as taught by Josef Goebbels.

Those who will not learn from history are doomed to disappointment. Studying history lowers your expectations.
