Positive thinking, but that would be infamous.

To a child there is no infamous. It’s always famous if they are on the news!!!

Yes, but they are far and few between! I know the day care center I used to use has milk service. (the daycare center is fine;my kids are grown)

I remember when the dry cleaning man would come to our house to pick up and drop off my dad’s suits. Do they still do that now?

I grew up in a family-type single home neighborhood, and practically every house used the milkman. Set the empties out on the porch at night and he’d drop off full ones the next morning. Milk men, Fuller Brush men, door to door salesmen, paper boys, little neighborhood grocery stores, all with full service meat counters and a regular butcher (with fresh sawdust every day), buggy whips….

When I was a kid, we had a milkman and an egg man. Locally, milk deliveries were available until earlier this year. We gave them up a while back when they started delivering at 2 a.m. and our dog could hear the truck halfway down the block (and hated it with a passion).

I’m not sure how the milkman got into this. They got the MAILman’s autograph…

The milkman’s autograph would be valuable though, they’re so rare!
