OK, before anyone asks…back before there was elastic in socks, men would wear garters around their calves that had little button like things that snapped on their socks. This would keep them from falling down around their feet. Nobody has worn them since the 1940s, so why is Ralph? Where would he even buy them?
There is as small gym across the street from a popular fast food place in my neighborhood. It has a huge banner out front that has a giant depiction of Jesus saying; “Keep eating fast food and I’ll be seeing you soon!” It’s both kind of funny and kind of odd.

Gym name not as good as the bowling alley names a couple of weeks ago. Then again, the focus of the gag isn’t on the name.

They were really handy things, especially when the elastic got stretched out too much. There days, I wish I could find my father’s old set!
