I’m with Mittens on this one. Individual blue jays have been known to pick fights with cats… and win. No telling what mayhem would ensue when they’re in force.
After weeks of unrelenting attacks, one of my cats dispatched the offending bluejay. There was a bluejay conference immediately afterward. They all shrieked at my cat but kept their distance.

The collective noun for blue jays would be a “party” or a “band.”

It’s spring, so they’re more likely to be competing for mates than bedeviling cats.

I think Mittens needs some cuddling from mama anyway.

You’re an indoor cat, Mittens. The blue jays shouldn’t bother you.

Whenever I see a large gathering of birds, especially noisy ones, I can’t help but to think of the Hitchcock movie “The Birds”

Just stay inside the house, Mittens. They’ll have to leave at some point.
