I hope they at least tried to find the Yorkie’s family. I had one for about 3 days years ago. It was obviously somebody’s furbaby and I took and had it scanned for a chip, nothing. Put ads up online and someone offered to ask at other local vet offices. They found someone that worked at one that knew the family of the owner of the dog. Turned out it had gotten away from them while visiting from about 2 hours away and crossed a 4-lane divided highway and a double railroad track to get to my house. I would have loved to keep him and he was a very sweet dog, but it wouldn’t have been right to not at least try to find the rightful family.
Years ago I had a Red Husky given to me, he was really good and would stay around as long as you were watching him, turn your back and off he’d go ……. all I had to do was check where the female dogs were and I’d catch him …… worked “EVERY” time …… :)
