I must not be a plugger, I’ve never said or heard someone say welp

Yep. Yep. Yep.

Welp – contraction of “Well help”. Generally used when a Plugger needs assistance to stand up after sitting too long on the diner stool and his butt is numb. “Welp, I gotta stand up and stretch my legs.”

My diner friends used “Well $hit”, usually when it was time to leave.

There has to be a fifth guy who says, “Welp?”

“Welp” is definitely a post-plugger non-word. I think some illiterate kids say it.

“Welp” is a Midwestern term.

Don’t really have any friends other than husband (never have really had friends) – but my acquaintances all think I am a crazy person.
