I HATE that sound. It always happens at night so my son can’t help me, and it’s one of the ones 10 feet up i live in a retirement community. We dont climb ladders!.
Refrigerator open door, freezer over temperature, UPS battery failure, Water Softener low salt levels, Watch that chirps on the hour, dish washer end of cycle, coffee pot end of cycle
With my tinnitus being so bad I no longer bother trying to triangulate the location of just one. Instead, I change the batteries in everything. That reminds me that it’s probably time to buy a new brick of batteries.
Out of all the noises in a house that noise bothers my dog the most…he completely freaks out, and he takes a while to calm down. I’m not his original owner do maybe something happened at his previous home.
Many years ago I rented an old house with a basement. While down in the basement doing laundry, I started hearing a tiny chirp. Just once each time I was down there folding clothes. Eventually it started to bother me so I looked at the time when it beeped. 7:05. I started noticing that it would always beep at 5 minutes past the hour, so I started timing my folding to be around that time. At 4 minutes past I would stand in a part of the basement and listen for the beep to find which direction it was coming from. I narrowed it down to an alcove with a bunch of boxes stored there. A few more times with isolated boxes and I found the box that it was coming from. Digging down through a bunch of kids toys I found a kid’s watch that was set to beep on the hour. I disabled the beep and returned it to my son who was grateful I found it. It only took about 6 months to find the stupid thing!

We have a security camera DVR that randomly resets itself with a chirp. Annoying, but not enough to purchase and rewire a new one.
