One place I worked at, the boss made everyone remove their family photos from their work stations!! Later when I suggested something the same boss said it would: “RUIN THE FAMILY ATMOSPHERE OF THE WORKPLACE!” He was braindead and eventually canned.
My son-in-law works in marketing at a Canadian university; and had to sit through a lengthy rant from some harridan over his use of the term family values. Apparently, all single women of a certain age should find the term offensive.
