Val, you got it backwards: Barbie is the slum lord, and Ken is her dumb, but strong boyfriend that’s she’s trying to get to work fixing the house for free.

I watched ‘Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Masters’ (the one with Patricia Arquette and Laurence Fishburne) last night…maybe Alex unknowingly has the Elm Street house. In such a situation, Ken would say something ending with calling Barbie a ‘b’ before turning into Freddy…

I figured Alix wasn’t much into dolls, preferring more active play, etc. But it’s still early in the strip.
