When I finally had a job that paid well enough, one of the first things I did was stop changing my own oil. Followed shortly by no longer working on my vehicles except for break-downs or whatever that had to be fixed enough to get it to the shop.
Apples and oranges?
I think my motor needs oil once a year but I let the dealer do that on warranty. Other than maybe that there’s no maintenance.
Or you could offer him dinner in exchange for changing your oil.
I quit working on mine when I tore my rotator cuff rotating the tires…
