or pro-life or pro-gun or anti tax. On the other hand, there are too many “on the left” who won’t vote for a pretty good candidate because he/she is not perfect.
Progressives have real issues with and doubts about Biden; but which candidate would be better for the environment? Continuing “Obamacare”? Appointing the next USSC justice(s)?
Biden likely will lose if Progressives bail on him. And, while they certainly have that right, are they ready for the consequences?
When progressives in the USA support Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. , it scares away millions of voters in the middle; many more than they would care to admit.
They reached out to progressives in 2020? With what, a claymore?
The Democratic Party has had a long history of hatred for progressives, to the point that they’ll support a Republican any day over a progressive. And that’s still the case; look at what happened to Jamaal Bowman. (who at least pretended to be a progressive).
I am slightly to the left of Bernie Sanders in my political leanings, and while I don’t get everything I want in the Democratic platform, it sure is a step in the right (actually left) direction over Project 2025. The “split” in the Democratic party is largely manufactured by the media, or as a false equivalency with the fractured Republicans. I will vote for Biden or any other Democrat, I will ALWAYS vote, and everyone I know who is progressive will do the same.
Jen, Progressives turned the 2020 elections from what should have been a monumental Blue Wave into a near disaster for the Democrats.
Because of the riots the Democrats lost 2 easily winnable Senate seats in Maine and Iowa, lost 15 total house seats, it took two miracle finishes in Georgia to even tie the Senate, and the Electoral College vote was far too close, fewer than 75,000 votes in PA, GA, AZ, or MI could have swung the election to Trump.
And all this after 4 disastrous Trump years, and his complete bungling of a worldwide pandemic. 2020 should have been the election that buried Trump and the GOP for decades, instead, thanks to progressives spending the summer lighting fires in Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis, the 2020 election was frighteningly close.
With half the adult US population having below a sixth-grade reading level and 2/3 unable to pass a US citizenship test, — you’re worried they might not vote intelligently?
There’s still only one option. An old guy who is kind of conservative vs a psychopath/serial rapist with dementia. Old guy. I’m to the left of most if the self styled progressives and still find it an easy choice.
