I met one of my teachers from high school at a Walmart and it was nice. I asked if he had any decent students lately and he said, “Not since you graduated!” I laughed expecting an answer like that.

There were a couple times when seeing Mrs. Godfrey ruined Nate’s beach day. “What kind of a beach doesn’t allow dogs but DOES allow social studies teachers?”

Wow Teddy. That’s scary. But they’ve seen a lot of teachers outside of school.

Even in the 70’s a lot of more conservative school districts had “morality” clauses in teacher’s contracts. They were not allowed to be seen purchasing beer at the grocery store or be seen coming out of a liquor store / bar least a student sees them.

Slurping noodles brings in air which does bring a bit of cooling but allows for increased taste of the noodle and the soup and other ingredients. It is considered impolite not to slurp.
