Vote Democrat if you are for cities on fire, book burnings, firebombing women’s clinics, torching bars and nightclubs that cater to the LGBTQ crowd.

Government funding for Schools is way down. That’s the biggest factor in any lower reading scores.

Private school vouchers is one reason funding is down for Public schools. Also, teachers don’t get paid that much.

how are teachers supposed to subsist if they don’t get paid? PLUS your kids are being supervised, in addition to learning. Teachers do two jobs at once. they should be paid more.

Funding in real dollars on a total and per pupil basis is up. So the Dems want more money for teachers. For what? They have failed. Paying a bad teacher more is not going to make them a good teacher.

Let the parents decide via vouchers.

And stay clear of Chicago come convention time. The city will burn just like in ’68.

Can’t wait for the DNC convention! There will be pro-Hamas leftist wackos, environmentalist leftist wackos, and a demented Biden who will tell us about uncle Bosey and the cannibals. BYOSP – Bring your own spray paint!

Chicago, like any urban district has many issues beyond its control. 75% of Chicago’s drinking water has lead in it. Now, how does lead impact brain development? (And that’s just one example that critics want to pretend does not exist) Kids aren’t widgets just going through an assembly line coming pout as a finished product.

The GOP answer to baked in problems? No $$$ for lead pipe replacement as shown in the constant complaints about “Biden spending” (a good chunk of which goes for that). Oh, and don’t pay teachers a fair salary, don’t invest in schools. Because economics says if you pay less, you’ll get a higher quality product right?

This is so inaccurate that stupidity can’t be an excuse. This is just lying. It seems like more and more of the Trump campaign are just abject lies.

I was in Ferguson, and it was “mostly” peaceful. There were incidents that were violent and they were reported. I wasn’t there for them, so I don’t know how accurately, but I was with my group from Occupy and we saw nothing that wasn’t peaceful. Same is true of Jan 6th. Most of the people who were there were not involved in any violence, and quite likely weren’t even aware that it was happening. That doesn’t mean violence didn’t happen in either instance.

The difference is that no Democrats instigated or encouraged violence. None were in a position to stop it and failed to do so. No Democratic politician sent out tweets encouraging people to " Be there, It’s going to be wild" No democratic politician held an event that, when told that people were carrying guns, instructed secret service protecting him to " Let them in, they aren’t here to hurt ME". And no Democrat instructed those same people to march on the Congressional building and “Fight like hell, or you won’t have a county anymore.”

It just isn’t valid to assume that any violence that isn’t Republican sponsored must by default be sponsored by Democrats.

Looks like Chip Bok and suv have problems with reading comprehension.

“Chicago Public Schools’ performance on state tests returns to pre-pandemic levels in reading”

“Readings scores rise for Chicago kids "

Reading, like language, is acquired very early by children. That learning window starts closing around age 5 and is gone by around ages 9-10. Teachers can only refine the skills that should have been taught by parents—spelling, grammar for language; definition, understanding for reading.
