It is an old saying: Golf tells you all you need to know about a person.

‘A dumpster fire’: CNN hosts face blowback for letting Trump lie throughout debateWhile there is a growing consensus that the first 2024 presidential debate between President Joe Biden and convicted felon Donald Trump was a disaster for the sitting president, there is also a faction of political observers who believe that the moderators of the debate fell down on the job.

In particular, there was a great deal of anger at CNN’s Dana Bash and Jake Tapper over their failure to make Trump answer their questions and worse including allowing him to lie with impunity with no push-back or fact-checking.

As reported by the Washington Post’s Jeremy Barr, the former president littered his answers with a flood of lies, yet the two CNN “State of the Union” hosts never stepped in to correct the record.

According to Barr, “Instead of fact-checking the candidates, Tapper and Bash focused mostly on keeping them within the time limits, stopping and starting and going back and forth between the candidates,” before adding, “Even when Trump seemed to ignore a question about the opioid crisis by instead criticizing Biden’s economic policies, the moderators said nothing and allowed Trump to keep talking.”

The Democrats are in panic mode over Biden’s mumbling, vacant stare performance at the debate last night. The man was barely able to shuffle to his podium and his horse, rambling opening statement set the tone the rest of the debate. Biden got angry and was visibly agitated several times while President Trump remained cool and calm. I will say that both Trump and Biden went off the topic of the questions several times but that’s fairly common for these debates, though annoying. The moderators were surprisingly even handed given their past history of Trump hate. The left is in full spin mode in coming up with excuses for Biden’s dismal performance, even blaming the moderators who did their job well.

Dems have a DEFCON 9 on their hands.

The golf exchange was humorous but brutal. Biden put in a miserable memorized performance that eluded him from time to time. His body language was atrocious. Trump had a good night in comparison but he missed so many opportunities to talk about what he would do and was repetitive on several topics. Trump never lost his cool but the dwelling on each’s perception of the past was a waste. I take no joy in a Trump win. Biden needs to honestly assess his chances and follow the advice of party leaders to drop out and even resign now.

I have not been on this comic for a long time as Twitter X is a better place to exchange information. But would any of you knowledge haters care to apologize and admit I was right, two YEARS ago, when I said Joe was senile?
