When my grandmother was alive, her adopted daughter had come for a visit and laid her coat on the bed. My grandmother’s dog got up on the bed and watered the coat for my aunt. One can imagine the hilarity that ensued.

I thought the dog expressed most people’s feelings about my aunt quite well.

It’s these times when we can tell how much Phil loves Marm!
