I is difficult to find a doggy toy without a squeaker. The first thing we do when we get a toy for our dog is perform a squeakectomy. We don’t want to listen to them.
We’ve had two kinds of dogs: those that tear their toys apart and those that merely chew on them.
Our greyhound, Bluebell, loved her stuffed toys. She carried them around all the time, used the larger ones as pillows. In the 11 years she was with us she never damaged a toy in any way. It was as if they were her babies. Before she would accept a new toy as her own we had to rub it on her back to put her smell on it—unless it was a flimsily wrapped Christmas present that we handed to her. Then she understood that it was hers and she would open it and adopt it immediately.
I bought some cheap squeaker toys for my dachshund and the squeaker only lasted a couple of hours after he played with each one. What a waste of money!!!!
