Or tell him he just won re-election and that the Whitehouse is about to undergo a major reno so the interim WH is Joes beach house in Rehoboth. By the time the real election happens he won’t know his own name or recognize his wife Edith (Wilson).
The presence of Trump in the race means that the quality of the Democratic candidate isn’t as important as making sure to run against Trump. Ronald Reagan spent most of his time in office being a spokesmodel. If Biden wins he’ll have a capable staff and he won’t be Trump.
