chelb, You fail to see or understand that both the palestinian authority and hamas could have been peaceful entities and gotten along and prospered with Israel and the rest of the world; but as such with their internal corruption and theft they have proven time and again otherwise using the residents of Gaza as thier scapegoats and shills.
It has been ever so… at least in a capitalist society: The rich “invest” more than the rest and thus get the greater share of profits. And of course, since they own the most stock they direct the behavior of the company… and so on and so forth. And of course, they charge “what the market will bear” for their products and services… and in an oligopoly (monopoly lite) the market can be manipulated to maximize profit without (much) added cost… or value.
In a more perfect world, there would be regulation to prevent distortion of the market, but in the world as it is, the regulators ARE the regulated… and so on and so forth.
