Binky the Gnomes family will never get over the trauma of seeing a AC unit fall from the sky to crush Dad.

I got a ductless A/C unit. It works well for me. Not only does it cool the house but it lowers the humidity. Much quieter than a window unit too.

Always my biggest fear when I lived in old buildings in the city as a younger man.

Well, at least the lawn gnome won’t be sweltering.

Not “Gnomey”. He was the coolest one.

You build the support platform and window frame first Monty. Then the A/C won’t go anywhere. And your lawn gnomes won’t sue you.
