Another senior comic. The younger generation wouldn’t know what TV Guide is nor who Jackie Gleason is. Throw in encyclopedias, TV repairmen, Fuller Brush, Avon ladies, Burma Shave, etc. Face it, we’re old!
I subscribed to “TV Guide” for many years. They lost me when they changed it from the small, thick booklet to a large, glossy magazine, which, for most of the Daytime Listings, just said “Various Programming”…
I sent a friend a Birthday card one year and he lived less then 10 miles away …… never got an acknowledgement ….. so the next year didn’t send one …… he calls me and Thanked me for the card but I had dated for last year (I usually date the year upper corner) …… told him that I hadn’t sent one this year but did last year ……. he brought the envelope and it had cancellations for all over the world ……… it was only a year late ….. ;)

It was a great little magazine in the old simpler days.

Wonder if folks under a certain age or in faraway lands like Canada know who Jackie Gleason’s character was

Who still subscribes to TV Guide these days? With all the cable channels and streaming services, that magazine can’t cover everything in their grids.

I received a mailing for a car dealer’s week long sale, four days after it was over.

T-rump appointed De-joy to run the post office, and like most T-rump operations, it now really sucks.

This is why I stopped subscribing to TV Guide decades ago.
