Yeah, no!!!!! I’d rather be in my 50s. . .you (should) know a little bit about who you are, and free from tying yourself in knots trying to “be” whatever is the “social norm” at the time. . .
You can’t wait until you’re middle aged to start doing things you used to do when you were younger Auntie A! When I was in my 20s, I made a vow to keep my body up. I’m 65 and in better shape than most guys a half or even a third of my age! ;)
Actually, at 78, I feel stronger and healthier than I did in my 20s… I was very malnourished… out of stupidity… I just didn’t know an better… and ate all sorts of junk foods, and not enough real, nourishing foods, and I even take some supplements which I didn’t do then!
I know the feeling. I get up in the morning, my mind telling me I can crawl under the porch and fix that broken floor joist. Then after I remove the entry cover and start crawling in through the small opening my body yells “just how stupid are you”. The answer is, stupid enough to keep going. Once inspected I crawl back out head to my workshop, pick up the phone and ask my son-in-law to stop by for coffee. Maybe his body doesn’t yell as loud.

I’m the same way. My mind feels like I’m in my 30’s. But then my back aches, my knees hurt, and my hips ache…
