I work in a wine shop. I see a woman walk in with her child. The child looks up from her iPad, sees the store, and her eyes go wide:

Child: “Oh nooooo, not here again…”

Actually, quite often. With bells and fanfare!

According to my wife, I have no inner child: it’s all on the surface.

I never had a second childhood. I never got out of my first.

My inner child still likes sweets at 78 next month. So I never deny the old boy.

Don’t we all.

Now and again, every day.

Some inner idiots have to be shoved back in the closet…

An adult who surfaces when aunty is sober. Once a month or so. Hardy Har Har.

I’m lucky! I have both. Sometimes they fight with each other when they want to be out and in charge. The child was out on Thursday. I had to keep her in check because I was out in public.
