I never win the “gimme some of dat” stare down with my dogs.
Our dog races into the kitchen when she hears the toaster oven ding. (not sure whether she’s salivating)
That’s our dog too. Very polite, and would never “beg” at the table. But the pathetic look on his face will get you every time.
My Dad always said “don’t feed the dog at the table”. Yet at every meal, the dog sat next to him!
Possibly the world’s “best scrounger”.

We named our Maltese Minnie because she was so tiny when we got her. Had no idea she would grow up to be Minnie the Moocher!
Worst? I don’t think so. Koko got what he wanted.
He’s like our Golden retriever. He’s not allowed in the kitchen so when someone is in it he lies with his head just around one of the corners at either end. And lies facing us when we eat dinner
