We passed the 22nd Amendment to prevent a future (malevolent) President from trying to become a dictator. It will take another constitutional amendment to repeal ‘Presidential Immunity’ once and for all. The only reason the question of king or fascism or dictatorship has come up is tRump. Defeat tRump in election and it becomes the non issue it’s been for over 230 years. Recognize the problem and eliminate it.
They tried. They just didn’t figure on a rightwing SCOTUS majority. They read what they want into the Constitution same as a House Leader reads what he wants into the Bible.
