Being an adult, all I could think of was how sticky and messy they were making themselves.

A hot dog is cooled down by a popsicle.

today’s popsicles only have 1 stick… nothing to break apart.

I always loved the multiple doors and all of the pictures of different popsicles on the side of the truck. Young wonderment!

Love Red’s good manners in saying “please” and admire Rover’s restraint in not gobbling that popsicle down right away (it wouldn’t last a minute with Newt!).

When I was young, many years ago…the ice cream man told me he had a special popsicle for me to try. It was blackberry! It was delicious and I didn’t see another one for decades.

Dr. Lick will take care of that sticky mess!

First cooling off, then eating under the shade of a nearby tree! Love it ;)

Watching the man look into the freezer brings back happy memories of the ice cream truck days— and nice touch with the change maker on his belt!

Miss the old days from the late 50s and thru the 60s, when the ice-cream cart or truck went thru the neighborhoods.

Hope Red wasn’t planning to eat the one that now has hair all over it.

we never saw a ice cream truck when I was a kid but there were corner stores every 6 or 8 blocks so that’s where we got our treats

Nice of him to hand them to them unwrapped. If they had left them in the wrapper they could have cooled themselves off then drank the sugar water later.

Summertime! We got our popsicles at the corner store.

My youngest daughter (11) and I just finished some popsicles sitting on the front porch after supper while listening to an 80’s playlist. Building memories.
