Why was this year so special that you didn’t go abroad, couldn’t afford it?

If going abroad means traveling out of the country, why doesn’t going anarrow mean staying in the country?

I wouldn’t mind going abroad for a vacation. Maybe South Shields and a visit to see #3 would be a great trip. Where has she been anyway?
