Well, now, Broomie might have something here. By going out and leading planes into their lanes, she might help for less stress for the air controllers and easier landings. For those not so magically attached, ultralight aircraft might be the answer. Yeah, crazy, I know, but it might work.
She’s mixing that up with the guys who “marshall” the ground traffic on the tarmac. I’ve seen You Tube videos of those guys getting all fancy dancey with it.
My first wife was a social worker but applied for a position as an air traffic controller (apparently working in the #2 most stressful job wasn’t doing it for her, had to go for #1). Unfortunately, she waited several months and went through two interviews before she discovered her vision was not good enough. 20/300 vision correctable with eyeglasses was good enough for her to have a private pilot’s licence, but not good enough if you drop your glasse while you have six “heavies” stacked up over a major airport.
one of the positives of reaching this advanced age is that when i get turned down for a position due to my obvious lack of skills i can blame it on age discrimination… ☺

And the pilot can increase speed and knock her clean out of the sky!

Tell them that air travel by broom is far less expensive than by electric plane.

She could start/be the first (?) Air Traffic Control Mobile Unit.

Average cruising speed for commercial airplanes is 480 to 575 mph. How fast can Broomie fly?

That would’ve made a good episode of “Airwolf.”

Where is Broomie’s broom in the last panel? Did this guy confiscate it?

It’s their loss…..I’m more talented than the controllers but he wouldn’t admit it, so I flew off on my trusty broom!

A witch sitting on a floating broom seems normal to this guy.

If the pilot ignores her orders, she can always zap him.

More like technique discrimination.
