The answer, of course, is that some adults go with their kids to see the movies and the adults are the ones who pay for the tickets.

The strip immediately make me think of the young boy and his grandfather in “The Princess Bride”. Yes, it was a “kissing story”, but he still loved it by the end. And so did we!
