That’s why I named my cat Nature. She abhors the vacuum.

The folks had a Border Collie. She would wig out, bark madly and nip the heels of the male in the house she knew the least, or the women she knew the least if there were no men around, at any/all of the following. The sound of a manual pencil sharpener, anyone answering the phone from the dining room side of the breakfast bar instead of the kitchen side, knocking of any kind and the words and/or tune to the Happy Birthday song.

Vacuum cleaners are designed to be quieter for human ears.

What kind of torture do they inflict in k9 frequencies?

I get the feeling this entire arc was just to set up that punchline.

Dogs abhor a vacuum.

Our granddog is not bothered by the coffee grinder or the vacuum. He will not move for the vacuum either, just lays there and looks at us. We typically vacuum up enough dog hair to make another dog after a three day visit.

I would think that nature abhors leaf blowers.

My dog abhors my printer and my paper shredder.

Nature DOES abhor coffee grinders. That’s why there are no bushes that grow them.

Fine choice of words. I’m sure Bucky’s final literary masterpiece will definitely suck.
