When in Colorado on a winter break with the family, we rode in a horse-drawn sleigh. Riding behind horses is an experience. Every time a horse cut loose, the driver explained we had run over a “snow snake” which everyone knows smells awful. Now, in our family, we call out “snow snake!” No need to be subtle.
