    Bad news is that they went up so much since 2021 thanks to the Covid epidemic that prices need to go DOWN for awhile to do us any real good.

    Best news is that wage growth has exceeded inflation, so we have to work fewer hours to buy a bag of chips.

    How is it that Walmart Canada was allowed or has justified increasing the price of their no named brand mini rice crisps by $1.00 from $.97. That’s more than double.

    60 years ago, Americans spent more than 15% of their income on food. Today, even after inflation, the percentage is under 12%. Prices have gone up, but food still much cheaper than it was decades ago.
