The biggest splinter I ever had to remove myself was 8 inches on the protruding part and 3 inches on the piece I had to twist and pull to get it to let go! Went straight through my brand new welders gloves—-at the seam. Didn’t bleed all that much, didn’t get infected but boy, did it hurt!
