I’m told it’s the thought that counts.

Wisdom is good. So is nice. If she was nice she would have helped him get ready and made sure they were in the car.

Nothing fishy going on here!

Father and son bonding and learning is still a win in their books.

Or like when she suggested you guys go fishing in the first place…

Easier to just have a quiet day by the water and not catch any fish (blaming it on lack of rods), than to fuss over rods/etc all day and still not catch any fish.

I remember that when I was a kid, catching fish was never the most important or fun part of going fishing.

Not that it would make any difference in my day, the way I fish!

He should have heeded his wife’s advice.

This comment is more about the ads to the side: Irksome that right after I click to hide the ad and send feedback saying why I did, they say that they got it, then IMMEDIATELY post that SAME ad again. That is either idiocy or harassment.

Evidently he didn’t listen to her because he and his son are sitting by the lake without them.

Always load the night before. The slower pace will make it easier to remember what to load. And you will be able to enjoy breakfast.
