Good dog.

Once again, Rover acts as Red’s guardian angel.

Of course, this strip is set around fifty years ago so Red is one of those boys of the late ’60s and early ’70s who believed that we would continue having manned flights to the moon and then have manned flights to Mars and other planets. We have continued sending spacecraft to the moon and also spacecraft to other planets and their moons but the last manned flight to the moon was over fifty years ago!

Love the way Brian has arranged today’s story with such interesting placement of each panel. I like how he thinks outside the box—or in this case, boxes!!

I love how in the “Heyyyy, where’re you going” panel, the end of Rover’s leash is exiting to the left. A subtle bit in a busy comic.

The life saver named Rover! Good psychology, boy!

Nothing like stifling a “dream”!!!!

Rover, your wisdom is priceless and continues to keep Red from hurting himself.

LOL… Always love the way Rover covers his eyes with his ears. Too funny…

There was a tree that I would climb in my youth, go up about 40 feet and grab two branches and swing back and forth! Bwa-ha-ha-ha. Still here folks and not doing that now!

Now, go on back home to enjoy some Tang and Space Food Sticks!

A potential disaster averted, thanks to Rover.
