Some months ago a large plastic sheet got tangled high up in a tree at the home I nanny at. I walk around every day picking up shreds of plastic so that their two puppies don’t eat them (or wildlife, et c). During my rounds today one of the pups came up for one of my daily inspections and tried to eat the thin strips of plastic! Though he seemed confused about the lack of flavor, being a 1-year old lab mix he happily kept chomping away on the danger-snacks until I could safely extricate them from his cavernous maw. I should mention this happened approximately 30 minutes after he ate his lunch. Listen to your Mom and Dad Sophie, and above all else, keep safe!
Those plastic carrier bags are starting to be worth their weight in gold here these days. Everyone I speak to hates these new imitation canvas ones – can’t recycle them, can’t use them for kitchen garbage, they take up loads of room in a handbag or pocket. Horrible horrible things.
